The "What Can I Afford" Tool
This online tool will help you determine, based on the utilities that you will pay and your family income, whether or not you can afford a particular apartment. Access the Max Rent Affordability Tool at https://boston.maxrent.org. Keep in mind, that the rent the landlord asks for, may not be the rent that BHA approves.

Payment Standards are based on HUD Metropolitan Area Fair Market Rents and HUD Small Area Fair Market Rents.
